LivingStone House of Prayer is located on 28 Harpersville Road in Newport News, VA. The sisters of Poor Clare, who were themselves committed to night and day prayer, inhabited our monastery for fifty years before us. On January 1, 2008, LHOP was born as we, too answered the call to night and day prayer and worship. LHOP’s mission is to intercede for Hampton Roads and all of its inhabitants.

We long to establish a house of prayer that is fully staffed with well-trained individuals, committed to keeping the fire burning night and day. We employ the Harp and Bowl model at LHOP. Harp and Bowl is worship and prayer integrated together, based on Revelation 5:8.

The Prayer Room Living Stone House of Prayer is open Monday through Saturday from 7am until 11pm. Signs will direct you to our door. We invite you to come as often as you like during these hours. Come soak in the word during a worship with the word set. Offer the Lord your love and get a glimpse of his beauty during a devotional set. Hear the near and present voice of the Lord during a prophetic set. Join us in prayer during an intercession set.

What to expect in the prayer room: A spiritually and physically safe environment in which to encounter God. Passionate, heartfelt prayer and worship. Ministry times that all can participate in as they choose. Opportunity to engage in the Harp and Bowl ministry. The Holy Spirit.
